But first we had to head north. Jo and John arrived and we set off straight away to beat the change of tide, which would make it difficult to get out of the marina pen. Bryan steered Birubi out and we rode the tide down to Georgetown. We had booked a marina berth at Peppers Marina Georgetown. This was not to be as the pen allocated had no cleats on the wobbly outer pontoon AND we ran aground trying to get in. Fortunately, the town pontoon was free and a very nice man on a Halberg-Rassy 40 took, our lines as we were a bit shaken. Now , we are enjoying a drink and look like spending Oz Day at Georgetown until the string wind warning for Bank Strait settles a bit.
Another challenging episode. Glad it all worked out OK. Enjoy Georgetown.
