Music in Hobart

We came back to HOBART to check out a Pink Floyd tribute group on Wednesday night but the wind brought us in a day early so we anchored, with great precision, in amongst the moorings of Lindisfarne Bay  to listen to a free jazz concert. It was an exceptionally pretty and warm evening with good music and a BBQ on board. We upped stumps the next morning and grabbed a berth at the little marina next to Elizabeth wharf which is run by MAST and is free. It is supposed to be for 4 hours but is frequently used over night. Lucky we were early! We got the double berth left and the others were quickly snapped up. Susan and David used the time to check out a boat for sale in Sandy Bay and lunch and Jackman & McCrossin in Battery Point. Great pies.

I was then visited by an old school friend who lives and sails here.

Finally, off to the Republic Cafe for a dinner  of wallaby and the rather loud but familiar strains of Pink Floyd tribute band.. 4 Letter Fish.

Today, no time for recovery. Off to Nubeena in variable winds and sunshine.
