Birubi is our new old Leopard 42 catamaran. We are the third owners and getting ready for a trip to Tassy for the Wooden Boat Show and the DEntrecasteaux Channel. She has been well maintained by previous owners but time takes it’s toll and , I’m afraid that my determination to master helming has also taken a bit of a toll on the gel coat.
The jobs completed so far are new standing rigging , mainly to satisfy insurance requirements, sail servicing, a water gauge, and efforts to get her deregistered from the Hong Kong shipping register. Upcoming jobs are servicing the engines and generator, a barge board and washing machine …plus getting the second dent , incurred by me yesterday, fixed.
